“Patio Andaluz” Gauge Ruler

In stock

This gauge ruler was born from the charm of Córdoba’s patios — their white arches, blue flower pots overflowing with blooms, their distinctive tiles, and that feeling of calm and beauty that only exists in places created with love.

I wanted to capture that essence in a tool that wasn’t just useful, but also inspiring — a little window into the handmade world, where every measurement becomes an intentional, mindful act.

That’s how the “Patio Andaluz” gauge ruler was born — an accessory designed to accompany you in your creative process, with an Andalusian soul and a universal spirit.

What makes it special?

This gauge ruler is designed for knitters and crocheters all over the world, combining the two most commonly used measuring systems: metric (cm) and imperial (inches).

How to use it?

In the metric system (European/Spanish):

  • The bottom edge measures 10 cm and is used to count the stitches in your work.
  • The left side also measures 10 cm and helps you count the rows.

This allows you to check your gauge according to European or Spanish patterns, which usually refer to 10 x 10 cm samples.

In the imperial system (British/American):

  • The inner square, measuring 2 x 2 inches (≈ 5 x 5 cm), lets you check your gauge following international standards, as used in English-language patterns.
  • The bottom edge of this inner square (right where the tiles are) measures the stitches per inch, while the right side counts the rows within that window.

This way, you can measure both in centimetres and inches without changing tools, a practical and beautiful way to knit without borders.

Features:

Exclusive design inspired by Andalusian patios, with an arched shape and floral decoration.

Ideal for both knitters and crocheters.

Dual scale: metric (cm) and imperial (inches).

Approximate size: 10 x 13 cm. Inner square 2” x 2”, outer measures 10 x 10 cm.

Allows you to measure a full 10 x 10 cm swatch or make quick checks using the 2 x 2” window.

MY STORIE

Hello, I'm Silvia, the person behind Mostacita Moraíta.

Ever since I was little, I’ve loved creating things with my hands, exploring any craft that sparked my curiosity. Years later, I discovered the wonderful world of knitting and, not long afterwards, I taught myself how to crochet. Being able to create my own garments and accessories felt so special that I simply never stopped stitching.

As a knitter, I often found myself wishing for accessories that were beautiful, practical and a little different. When one of the first 3D printers arrived at home, I saw the opportunity to design and make my own tools using materials that were as kind to the planet as possible. What began as a way to enjoy my passion even more gradually grew into Mostacita Moraíta, thanks to fellow knitters who also fell in love with my designs.

Today, I continue creating exclusive pieces inspired by nature and crafted with great care and attention to detail. I hope that, just as I loved imagining and creating them, you’ll find here those little treasures that make every knitting moment even more special.

Because, in the end, every single piece is made with light and love… especially for you. 💜.
