Hi, I’m Silvia
Passionate about craftsmanship
I’m the person behind Mostacita Moraíta.
I’ve always felt a special connection to making things by hand. Knitting, crocheting, imagining a piece, trying, making mistakes, starting over… that process of turning an idea into something real is a very important part of who I am.
Mostacita Moraíta was born from my love of knitting and crochet: a little universe of accessories for knitters and crocheters, designed to make our time with yarn and needles more comfortable, beautiful and special.
Tradition and Innovation
I design every piece from scratch
Behind every accessory there are many hours of design, testing and handcrafted work.
Many of my pieces start as an idea and then take shape through design and 3D printing, which I do in my own workshop.
I love combining technology and craftsmanship to create functional pieces, but I also want them to have something that makes them special: tenderness, personality, little details and designs you won’t find just anywhere.
I work mainly with PLA, a plant-based material made from corn, sugar beet or sugar cane. I also add handmade techniques and details, so many pieces are slightly different from one another.
I’m not trying to make more things. I’m trying to make them differently.
My creative universe is slow-made for sensitive, dreamy and mindful knitters, like you.

My way of seeing life
Creating slowly and enjoying the process
Mostacita also carries a lot of my way of seeing life.
I’m inspired by nature, I practise yoga and I like to surround myself with little things that remind me how important it is to create calmly, take care of ourselves and enjoy the process.
Maybe that’s why, for me, a knitting accessory is never just an accessory. I want it to be one of those little things that keep you company during hours of knitting and make you smile every time you use it.

From the moment an idea starts spinning in my head until I pack your parcel, the same person is behind it all: me.
And that’s probably what I most want to keep in Mostacita Moraíta: that even as the brand grows, you still feel there’s an artisan on the other side, creating for someone who also loves making things with their hands.
