With great love, I greet you, lover of crafts, artisanship, and creativity ☺
Though many of you already know me, I’d like to start this beautiful and exciting adventure by telling you a little about myself. My name is Silvia, or Mostacita Moraíta in this wonderful world of artisanship. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to CREATE, being passionate about crafts in general. I’ve always felt a special connection with myself when I’m creating something with my own hands.
In this little corner, I’d love for us to share our LOVE for crafts, embarking on an inner journey full of creativity. In this blog, I’ll talk about my creations, but I also hope it becomes a space where we can get to know each other better, if you’re up for it.
From my love for knitting, both with needles and especially crochet, comes my drive to design and create innovative accessories for us, the weavers. Unique and exclusive pieces that warm the soul. I do this with materials that respect our precious planet, like PLA, a biodegradable material that allows me to bring unique and sustainable pieces to life; from earrings that represent us as weavers to stitch markers or clever organizers. I’ll take you by the hand through my creative process, sharing curiosities and techniques I use, such as artisanship through 3D printing, dry and wet felting, among others…
You’ll be able to dive into the magical world and the beauty of nature, creating and feeling carded wool with your hands through my workshops.
Beyond my passion for creating with my hands, yoga is an important part of my life, a practice that connects me with my inner self and helps me find peace amidst the daily hustle. Through this ancient discipline, I’ve learned to listen to my body and mind and find balance with every step I take. Throughout our journey together, I’ll share some of my experiences and reflections on yoga, hoping you might also find inspiration in this beautiful practice.
I firmly believe that each of us has infinite potential to grow, learn, and evolve. In this space, we’ll share quotes and reflections that inspire us to follow this path of inner growth in a loving and conscious way.
Together, we’ll also dive into the exciting universe of craft and yarn fairs. I’ll share anecdotes and curiosities from the events I attend, so you feel like you’re right there with me exploring each booth and discovering unique treasures. And if you can’t attend, don’t worry! I’ll be here to share every detail and experience with you ☺
But that’s not all! If you’re up for it, join me on some of my travels where we’ll discover the richness of artisanship in different countries. We’ll meet local artisans, learn about traditional techniques, and marvel at the unique creations each culture has to offer.
In summary, this blog will be our space to connect through creativity and passion for crafts, as well as a place where we’ll nurture our inner selves, connecting mind, body, and soul.
